Who is Counselling for?

Counselling can be a lifeline for people who need support in time of crisis, it can be an effective way to help alleviate symptoms of stress and anxiety working through a range of issues you may be experiencing such as an relationship breakdown, identity, mental health problem or any long term illness, work stress, bereavement etc.

How do I know if you are the right counsellor for me?

In our initial consultation of up to 30 minutes and in the first session, there will be the opportunity for you to ask any questions relating to the way I work, training, and membership etc. You will receive a copy of our contract, which we will work through before working together. It is important for you to feel safe and comfortable to gain the most out of the therapeutic process.

How many counselling sessions will I need?

Every individual's counselling journey is different, typically some people only need short-term therapy which is 6-8 sessions, or for others it may require longer based on their personal circumstances and individual needs. During the counselling process after 3-4 sessions, I conduct a review to see check in with how you are finding the process.

How do I know if the sessions are confidential?

All  sessions are strictly confidential. In the initial session working together we will explore the contract and will discuss with you in more detail regarding confidentiality and the limitations.
